Police Station Front Desk Closures

This National Assembly:

Expresses concern that Dyfed Powys Police intends to cease its front desk operations in seven police stations;

Believes that Ammanford station, given the significant costs to the public purse of developing a new station through the Private Finance Initiative, should retain all services there;

Calls on the Welsh Government to:

a) work with the Home Office to ensure that rural areas are properly reflected in the police funding formula; and

b) seek the devolution of Policing and full funding so the service could be supported at least at its current level.
