Y Farchnad

We're launching a new style of event, taking on board feedback from Members of the Senedd on how they would like to use the Estate in a post-lockdown era.

Y Farchnad (marketplace) will bring voices from all parts of Wales and all sectors of society to the Senedd every month. Y Farchnad will be a place where your voice will be heard in your Senedd to shape your future.

Y Farchnad will bring a range of issues, community groups and topics to the forefront, with representatives hosting a stand in a marketplace set-up, where guests can drop-in and meet with visiting organisations throughout the day.

  • Y Farchnad will be held on the third Tuesday of each month, and replace the frequent drop-in sessions held by organisations in the dining rooms in Tŷ Hywel.
  • Y Farchnad is held in the Oriel, Senedd, from 10:00 – 15:00.
  • Each organisation will be provided with a table and space for a standard-sized pop-up banner.
  • Organisations can bring information materials such as leaflets or reports and their own device such as a laptop.
  • Wifi is available for all guests, however, there is no guaranteed access to power sources while onsite. Audio visual support will not be provided.
  • A small selection of sandwiches or Welsh cakes can be ordered per organisation for their stand through our catering supplier. Further information on this will be provided once your table has been booked.

To participate in Y Farchnad, organisations must seek and secure Member Sponsorship. Members are welcome to sponsor more than one organisation per event.
