Grahame Hurd-Wood

Sponsored by Eluned Morgan MS

Dates: 27 February - 9 March 2024

Location: Senedd Neuadd

In 2013, Grahame Hurd-Wood embarked on an ambitious project to paint a portrait of every resident in St Davids, Pembrokeshire.

Grahame has painted over 1000 of the 1800 people in St Davids, but he anticipates that the project will keep him painting for many years to come. After ten years, he is now inviting residents from the wider community around St David’s to sit for a portrait.

Each portrait is painted on a small canvas before being assembled in grid systems of one meter squared. Together, the portraits give a unique insight into Britain’s smallest city.
