Both the National Assembly’s Equality Team and north Wales Outreach Team held sessions with different groups in Rhyl and Wrexham last week. The groups received an introduction to the work of the Assembly followed by a discussion on the Assembly’s Strategic Equality Plan Consultation. Another group was invited to the Assembly’s office in north Wales to have their say in the consultation. In between the sessions held on board the Assembly Outreach Bus, members of the public came by to learn about the National Assembly for Wales. A group of teenagers in Wrexham said they were unhappy that they have to pay to use public transport and took a particular interest in the work of the Assembly’s Petitions Committee as a result.
