Throughout March and April, businesses and organisations across Wales have been taking part in filming video evidence for the Environment and Sustainability Committee’s Inquiry into Water Policy in Wales. From Anglesey to Monmouthshire, the Outreach team has been out interviewing individuals from a wide-range of businesses and organisations that use a lot of water, to gather their views on the possible changes to water policy. Plas Coch Leisure Complex and Spa Interviewees spoke about the benefits and negatives of the current system, as well as the potential disadvantages or advantages that may come from creating a competative market for water: enabling public and private sector businesses across Wales the opportunity to choose their water provider. The video can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9ovdj316us&feature=youtu.be Sandy McIntyre, General Manager of Plas Coch Holiday Home Park on Anglesey said: “It’s nice to see someone from the South I must admit…the biggest problem is the connection between North and South Wales, but it’s good that [the National Assembly for Wales] can come to us”. The evidence collected was produced and shown in a video package to the Environment and Sustainability Committee’s Meeting on 17 April.
