Cancel Haiti's debt

The National Assembly for Wales believes that in the wake of the devastating earthquake, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) should cancel Haiti's $890 million debt and ensure that earthquake aid comes as grants, not loans.

The UK representatives on the IMF should put forward the views of all parts of the UK, including Wales, into decisions the IMF makes.
