Artwork in the Senedd
The National Assembly for Wales:
Commends the display of artwork in the Senedd, recognising Aneurin Bevan’s contribution to the National Health Service during the 60th anniversary of the NHS and Margaret Thatcher’s contribution to Welsh society, overlooking Cardiff Bay, one of the great redevelopment projects of the Thatcher era and reminding us all of the transformation to a prosperous and market-orientated economy from the defunct, bankrupt debris of the 1970s socialist dream.
Regrets that political ideology which seeks to censor art, fails to recognise the role of art in stimulating debate and opinion.
