e-Petition: Stop the Wales for Africa Programme

open quote / dyfyniad agored

The Welsh Government has recently announced that it is going to give £1,047,000 of Welsh taxpayers' money to sub saharan Africa.

You can see the announcement here: http://www.idoxopen4community.co.uk/scvs/News/View/GRUKBP3!N65427

We petition that these funds should be spent on desperate poverty in Wales.

Welsh people are good, generous and caring people who want to help everyone.

However, charity must begin at home. There is desperate poverty in the villages, valleys and towns of Wales, which must surely be a priority before the Welsh Assembly sends our money to regimes in Africa or anywhere else.

Please support me - I am not anti-charity, I am 'Give when we can afford it'.
