Cardiff Council, (as currently constituted on the 16th Day of August 2016), only makes up one out of ten (Proposed Local Government) Councils in the (Whole) Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) - of approximately 1,500,000 People (or thereabouts).
All Welsh folk , most especially those within the (aforementioned) ten constituent Councils of the CCR, therefore (fundamentally) deserve, to rightfully have their say, in matters relating to how the Cardiff Capital Region is DEMOCRATICALLY GOVERNED.
We, (the undersigned), therefore publicly petition that the Welsh Assembly urgently passes a Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) Act, formally creating the Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) of Wales.
Elections for the Mayor of Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) could then duly follow; together with Elections for Members of the Cardiff Regional Council (CRC).
Like London, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, plus Bristol (etc), our Cardiff Capital Region (CCR) would then (hopefully) be able to formidably benefit from a much more robust, responsive, respectable, competitive, decisive, cost-effective, focused, democratic, sustainable, diverse, equitable (and accountable) form of (top quality) local governance; for the ultimate holistic betterment of society (at large).
