1: Introduction, apologies and substitutions (9.00 – 9.01)

1.1 The Chair welcomed Committee members and members of the public.

1.2 Apologies were received from Alun Davies and Joyce Watson.

2: Members’ scrutiny of Welsh Government response to Committee’s report on the Private Rented Housing Sector (9.02 – 10.03)

2.1 The Committee scrutinised the Deputy Minister on the response to the Committee’s report.


  • The Deputy Minister to provide further information on the effectiveness of the evaluation work being carried out into social letting agencies, when this was available.

3.1 The Chair noted that it was the last meeting of the Communities and Culture Committee in the 3rd Assembly.

3.2 The Chair thanked Members for their dedicated work over the last 4 years.

3.3 The Chair also thanked the wide range of officials that had assisted the Committee with its work, including (but not limited to): Committee Service, Members Research Service, Legal Division, Translation and Reporting Service, Broadcasting and Multimedia Unit, External Communications, Media team, Security team, Facilities and estate management. The Chair also thanked the witnesses, stakeholders and people of Wales who have provided evidence, opinions and information over the last 4 years.
