Women of Wales

18.00 - 20.00, Friday 29 June - Daniel Owen Community Centre, Mold

As part of our Senedd Delyn programme will be hosting an event to celebrate and discuss women's representation in Wales, as part of our efforts to mark the Centenary of the Women's Suffrage Movement. This will be complemented by outreach sessions with community groups, businesses and charities in the area, and across Wales, in the lead up to Senedd Delyn.

Join us for a discussion with Ann Jones AM, Deputy Presiding Officer of the National Assembly for Wales, Hannah Blythyn, Assembly Member for Delyn and Cerys Furlong, Chief Executive, Chwarae Teg about their roles as prominent women in public life in Wales. The event will be an opportunity to discuss the barriers they've faced during their careers and how they overcame these to reach where they are today.

There will also be an opportunity for individuals, groups and institutions to get together over a cup of tea and slice of cake and to share, debate, and celebrate what equality means to them.

The event will also form part of UK Parliament's 'EqualiTeas' - a UK-wide celebration of our democratic equality.

The workshops will be an opportunity to discuss the progress made in Wales since some women first got the vote and aims to equip people today with the tools they can use to become the campaigners of the future.
