Senedd hosts annual Christmas carol concert

03/12/2015

Presiding Officer, Dame Rosemary Butler AM will host the annual carol concert at the Senedd to mark the festive season.

The carol concert will take place in the Neuadd at 12.00 on Tuesday, 8 December.

It will include performances from the charity "Music in Hospitals" and students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's Amser Jazz Time group, alongside traditional Christmas carols sung by invited guests, Assembly Members and staff.

"As Assembly Members and staff come together to mark the Christmas period at the Senedd, it is good to do so with musicians who showcase Welsh talent," said Dame Rosemary.

"I am sure that the carol concert will be a memorable way to celebrate the festive season".

Bilingual readings will be given by party leaders which will include poetry and bible passages.

The Bay Chaplain, Rev Peter Noble will give a short prayer prior to the conclusion of the concert.
