The National Assembly for Wales is responsible for making appointments to some public offices, other bodies and individual roles.


Non-Executive Members Wales Audit Office


Time Committment: 2 - 3 days per month
Duration: Up to 4 years
Location: The Wales Audit Office has offices in Cardiff, Abergele and Swansea and board meetings rotate between these locations.
Remuneration: £12,500 p.a.
Closing Date: 10.00 23 November 2018


The Wales Audit Office was established as a corporate body under the Public Audit (Wales) Act 2013 and commenced its full range of functions on 1 April 2014.

The Wales Audit Office Board comprises nine members, five of whom are non-executives (including the Chair) plus the Auditor General for Wales and three employees of the WAO. The non-executive members are appointed by the National Assembly for Wales.  One employee member is nominated by the Auditor General for appointment by the non-executive members and the other two are appointed by the non-executive members following a ballot of Wales Audit Office staff.

The National Assembly for Wales is seeking to appoint two non-executive members to fill vacancies on the Board that will be created when terms of office  come to an end in March 2019.
