Dementia Awareness Week

This Assembly:

1. Notes that there are 45,000 people living with dementia in Wales.

2. Welcomes the progress made to date on developing Wales's first Dementia Strategic Action Plan.

3. Welcomes the work of Alzheimer's Society Cymru in encouraging Wales to 'unite against dementia' as part of Dementia Awareness Week 2017.

4. Urges the Welsh Government to ensure the Dementia Strategic Action Plan is properly resourced to put in place the improvements to services and support that it proposes.

5. Urges the Welsh Government to continue to involve people affected by dementia in shaping services provided to support them.
