The Cross Party Vision Group will be holding its next meeting on the 18th January 2011. The focus of this meeting will be reviewing progress made in respect of the implementation of the Wales Vision Strategy launched by the Chair of the Group in June 2010. The Group has asked the Chair of the Wales Vision Strategy to provide a short paper outlining progress to date and, based on its findings, will be asking lead agencies to present evidence to its meeting in January. Invitations will be sent out early in December.
Alongside this the CPG is planning to host an event in June, to coincide with Eye Health Week to further raise awareness of the Wales Vision Strategy, highlight and celebrate progress to date and raise awareness of those areas where further progress needs to be made. This will also be an opportunity for people with sight loss to meet their Assembly Members and share their experiences with them. Further information will be published in January 2011.
