Pre-ballot Information

A Member must provide 'pre-ballot information' to set out the intended purpose of their proposed Bill before it is entered into the Presiding Officer's ballot. This information is set out below. 

Policy Objectives of the Bill

The purpose of the Bill is to:

1. establish legislation to protect historical Welsh place names, to prevent the loss of a key element of our national heritage; and

2. empower a suitable public authority to enforce the legislation that is established.
