Mid Wales Regional Committee (July 1999 - April 2003)

Mick Bates AM / AC
Welcome to the Mid Wales Regional Committee Web Pages from Mick Bates A.M. Chair The National Assembly for Wales has established four regional committees. The Mid Wales Regional Committee covers Ceredigion, Powys and the area of Gwynedd comprising the former district of Meirionydd. The role of the regional committees is to advise the Assembly on:
  • matters affecting the regions;
  • the effect of Assembly policies in those regions; and
  • the work of public bodies in the regions.
Regional Committees form a crucial link between the Assembly and local communities.
